Sunrise near El Chalten, Argentina. Having been forewarned that the peak of Mount Fitzroy is rarely seen due to constant cloud cover (our guide had seen it twice in a month), I decided to take a chance and scale up a nearby hill in the dark and wait for dawn before the day's main hiking started. I was rewarded by the most stunning sunrise I've ever seen. The warm colour of first light reflecting off the red granite of the peaks and clouds was so incredible I almost forgot to take pictures! The photos captured these highly saturated colours really well.
